It has also been a while since my last entry here, so I've decided to talk about 5SOS's live in Paris which took place on April 4th at YOYO (Palais de Tokyo).
It's 7:30, my alarm clock rings. It's almost time to go. I have two classes in the morning before going to the venue. Time goes by so slowy, and finally, it is 1pm, time for me to go!
In about an hour, here I am, at the venue. I am so excited! And I cannot believe I am going to see the 5 Seconds of Summer live!! But, as I arrive, I cannot see any queue line, but some fans are there. Two fans walk to me, they take my name and give me a number. And I'm like "whaat ?". Apparently, they showed up at 5pm the day before!! And they intend on giving the name&number list to the staff member who will open the doors so that no one enters before them. I tell them about my friend who cannot show up until later and they tell me they can't do anything about it. Seriously? Because a couple of fans decided so, I have to be alone during the concert ? Hell no.
A couple of hours later, I'm going to get my friend once her classes are over and we head back to the venue and see... a queue line! It started raining while we were taking the tube, so people naturally formed a queue line under the roof. Apparently, it's not about numbers anymore. But at least I get to stay with my friend.
The doors are supposed to be opened before 7pm and the show is supposed to start at 7pm sharp but, as surprisingly as it may seem (irony), the lads are late! They often are, we knew from the start it wouldn't actually start at 7.
It is now 8pm. I am standing in the venue now, my friend on my right. Fans keep coming in, the room is filled in around half an hour. Finally, the doors close. The lights fade. My heart starts to beat faster. In a few seconds now, Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Michael Clifford and Ashton Irwin will be standing a few meters away from me.
And then... Ashton comes on stage, followed by Calum, Luke and finally Michael.
Is this really 5SOS?
Are the real members actually standing in front of me?
They're so perfect.
The guitars, the bass and the drums start to play.
Here we go, a one hour long live starts.
And I cry, so much.
Their voices, the guitars, the acoustic guitar, the bass, the piano, the drums. Everything is just so perfect.
9pm strikes.
The live, sadly, ends.
I saw them, I saw 5 Seconds of Summer.

If I may comment the live itself now.
The transition between the first and the second song is purely perfect. It is done by the drummer, Ashton Irwin. Simply the best transition I've heard so far.
Valentine is my favorite new song so far. And hearing it live made me love it even more.
But I feel like the new album is truly going to be amazing, Lie To Me & Youngblood are also amazing songs!
I'm ready to listen to the album on repeat 24/7 to be honest.
Now onto the "bad" part.
The fact that two fans thought they were allowed to decide of how queueing up will be like really got on my nerves. I mean, I get it, you were here before, if you just had made a line from the beginning, this would not have been a problem, I won't come in before you, chill.
And, too me, too many tickets were sold. This venue can hold around 800 people but we were at least 1000. It was way too crowded and very unpleasant. Picture this, I was standing not even a meter before the production team next to my friend. But by the end of the live, I was against it. I couldn't bring my arms down, I had to keep them up because there was no room for them along my own body! I was standing on my toes and couldn't stand properly on my feet, because someone else's feet were against mine in front of me!
I had been standing for many hours by the end of the live, I couldn't feel my legs (nor arms) in the end.
But it's time to go home now. I even came back with a huge poster as a souvenir.
Although there were some down sides, I will cherish this memory forever. I was lucky enough to see one of my favorite bands live in my city and I will never forget that.
I will finish this article by saying this;
I love Luke Hemmings.
