Get to know MORNING MUSUME.


Morning Musume. (モーニング娘。) is a japanese idol girl-group formed in 1997 following auditions organized by Tsunku♂ for his own band, SharamQ.

Year of formation: 1997 (September 14th)
Current name: Morning Musume.'18 [One Eight] (モーニング娘。'18)
Former names: Morning Musume., Morning Musume.'14, Morning Musume.'15, Morning Musume.'16 & Morning Musume.'17.

There are currently 12 members; Mizuki Fukumura, Erina Ikuta, Haruna Iikubo, Ayumi Ishida, Masaki Sato, Sakura Oda, Miki Nonaka, Maria Makino, Akane Haga, Kaede Kaga, Reina Yokoyama & Chisaki Morito.
Morning Musume. is a group based on "generations", "seniors-juniors" relationships. Every once in a while, new members are added to the group, and some of them leave during a ceremony called "sotsugyo" which translates to "graduation".

Morning Musume. has a total number of 42 members through the years, divided in 14 generations.
Only 4 current members were born before the group was created.
The average age of the members the group as of this day is 18.9 y.o

Morning Musume. are featured in a total number of 143 CDs which include 66 singles, 15 albums, best albums, musical soundtracks, compilations etc.

Morning Musume. is the founding group of the larger group, Hello! Project which gathers lots of other japanese girl-groups. Their current agency is UP FRONT PROMOTION and their current label is zetima.


How I got to know about Morning Musume.: It was around 9 years ago, I was still in primary school. My sister was already in junior high and she and her new friends found out about this anime titled Shugo Chara. I binge watched it and fell in love with the opening and ending songs sang by a former Hello! Project group called Buono!. Basically, one thing led to another and I got to know about all H!P groups including Morning Musume. which quickly became my favorite group within the agency.
My favorite current and former members are: Erina Ikuta (current) & Risa Niigaki (former). Erina is a 9th generation member and joined the group in 2011. She's the one I first fell in love with when discovering the group. The 9th generation had just been announced and I thought "This girl. I like her." as soon as I saw her. Risa is a 5th generation member. She joined the group in 2001. I fell in love with her powerful voice not such a long time after falling in love with Eripon.
Fun fact: Erina and Risa get along very well since Erina joined Morning Musume. Erina admires Risa a lot and they still regularly meet up even though Risa graduated 6 years ago.
My favorite single is: BRAND NEW MORNING / Jealousy Jealousy and Maji Desu Ka Suka!. I cannot choose one. I am very attached to Maji Desu Ka Suka! since it is Erina's debut single and the first single whose release I got to witness. Concerning BRAND NEW MORNING / Jealousy Jealousy, which was released in 2017, the only thing I have to say is: listen to it. Both of the songs' lyrics are amazing and pretty relatable.
My favorite album is: (15) Thank you, too. All the songs are simply amazing. It was released in Dec.2017 and is the first album since 2014 (note that they used to release one album per year).
My favorite non-single song is: Tsuyoki de Yukouze! from No.5. It's a song that features Risa and it's really catchy! I wish I could see this song live with my own eyes.
Have I ever seen one or + member.s: No, unfortunately I've missed every opportunity to miss them that I got. Morning Musume. were Japan Expo 2010 guests. I was there but did not know about them back then. Risa and Ai (another 5th generation member) came to Paris another time for a J-Melo event but I couldn't go. Sayumi, Mizuki, Haruna & Ayumi also came to Paris for an event at a Hard Rock Café but unfortunately my parents did not want me to go. Ever since I became a MoMusu fan, I've wished to meet them. I believe 2018 or 2019 will be the year I finally see them.
UPDATE SINCE JULY 7th: I MET NIIGAKI RISA! My NUMBER ONE!! I'm so happy I can't find any word to express this feeling of happiness within me!!!

Get to know 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER.

5 Seconds of Summer (5SOS) is an australian band formed in Dec.2011 in Sydney. Michael Clifford (left) is one of the two guitarists and a singer, Ashton Irwin (middle-left) is the drummer and vocalist, Luke Hemmings (middle-right) is the lead singer and the other guitarist and Calum Hood (right) is the bass guitarist. It was originally formed with only Michael, Luke and Calum; Ashton joined the band later on, It all began with cover videos on their Youtube channel and they quickly signed with Sony ATV Music Publishing to release their first EP, Unplugged . But what made them famous is that Louis Tomlinson (One Direction) once shared their song Gotta Get Out . They have been the Opening Act for One Direction's 2013 world tour and that's been one of the major events which allowed them to gain many fans. 5 Seconds of Summer @ YOYO Palais de Tokyo.

It has also been a while since my last entry here, so I've decided to talk about 5SOS's live in Paris which took place on April 4th at YOYO (Palais de Tokyo). It's 7:30, my alarm clock rings. It's almost time to go. I have two classes in the morning before going to the venue. Time goes by so slowy, and finally, it is 1pm, time for me to go! In about an hour, here I am, at the venue. I am so excited! And I cannot believe I am going to see the 5 Seconds of Summer live!! But, as I arrive, I cannot see any queue line, but some fans are there. Two fans walk to me, they take my name and give me a number. And I'm like "whaat ?". Apparently, they showed up at 5pm the day before!! And they intend on giving the name&number list to the staff member who will open the doors so that no one enters before them. My favorite bands.

Hello! Project My life without music would be nothing. I never go out without my earpods. Every place is a good place to listen to music. And I listen to quite a few genres. I cannot rank my favorite bands, so this will be a simple list with no specific order. Hello! Project Hello! Project is actually a group of groups. It includes nowadays Morning Musume.'18, Angerme, Juice=Juice, Country Girls, Kobushi Factory, Tsubaki Factory and Hello! Pro Kenshuusei (trainees). I've been into Hello! Project for over eight years now. It's a huge part of my life and I love them just as much today as I did back then. The group have changed a lot over the years. Some groups disbanded, other were created, some members left their groups, other came in. It's always changing and you get to see the girls grow. They're japanese idols.
